About This Child

Yonna is an 11-year-old quiet young boy with a very humble personality. He is very reserved around strangers but outgoing with his friends. During his free time, he enjoys running and playing soccer with his friends. Yonna is in primary three at St.Joseph Primary School. Mathematics is his best subject because he finds counting numbers interesting. Yonna lives in Kakira village with his mother, two brothers, and a sister. His mother sells local brew to earn a living and take care of the family. Yonna helps at home with sweeping the compound, washing dishes and fetching water. Yonna wants to become a doctor someday so he can treat his father's mental illness.
