My Story

Hawa is an 11-year-old shy and reserved young girl. She is quiet but very friendly and has a humble personality. During her free time, Hawa enjoys skipping rope, playing dodge ball and reading her classwork. Hawa is in primary three at St. Joseph Primary School. Her favorite subject is Mathematics because she finds counting numbers easy and interesting. She lives in a small room built out of mad with a single mother, four brothers and three cousins. Her father abandoned the family a year back leaving the mother to struggle alone to take care of it. Hawa’s mother sells cooked food to the Kakira factory truck drivers cheaply and keeps making loses each time.  Hawa wants to become a nurse when she grows up. The family is very grateful for the support rendered to them.
